In an age saturated with information it seems difficult even daunting to empathize with the daily barrage of human distress across our globe. Postmodern "Elegy" (a meditative poem of sorrow) ponders pain close and far. A satellite view reads as crop circles amidst poppy fields, at mid-range the plane becomes bullet-ridden, and close-up hemorrhage screams: witnessed yet unheard, no longer within earshot, yet broadcasted.
